Jack ´n Pack
The conventional Climbing jack is a household notion in the heavy lift industry. Every respectable rigging company relies on this type of equipment for their daily jobs. And it is hard to improve a relatively simple product like the Climbing jack. Yet, that was exactly what we thought was necessary. For every time we looked at it we clearly saw that the existing designs had their weaknesses.
Finally we found the solution in adding some completely new features that give the application of the good old Climbing jack totally new dimensions.
The principle
The Jack ´n Pack principle is based on a hydraulic jack with a downward pointing rod. The structure has two areas under which timbers can be stacked. Generally, the jacks are positioned under the object. By extending the rod the object can be lifted about 170mm. Now the timbers can be placed crosswise. The jack-up operation can be carried out by repeating this cycle.
Pro and contra
The Hydrospex Jack ´n Pack can simply and efficiently be used by a skilled operator assisted by hands around the jack to stack the timbers. Potential hazards can be detected in the synchronization area between the stroke of the jacks. De-synchronization can cause side loads. This will make the object and the jacks instable.
With the usual ´power-tools´ this is a serious drawback because most existing climbing jacks cannot resist side loads. Although in most brochures a maximum side load figure is specified, in reality the load is either undetectable or it cannot be read.
The HCL series
The Hydrospex HCL Climbing jacks are available in capacities of 125Te, 200Te, 300Te and 500Te. We can customize them to your requirements.
The major improvements we have added are:
-
Working pressure 400Bar
-
Double acting Jacks
-
Removable houstings
-
Side loads up to 10%
Hydrospex Climbing jacks are sold in combination with hydraulic Power packs, specially designed for jacking purposes. This gives multiple outlet flows the necessary synchronization between the jacks and it makes the equipment independent of equal jack loading.
The HLC jacks are designed to work with timber sizes:
-
100 x 100 x 1000 mm
-
150 x 150 x 1000 mm
Jack ´n Pack automation
For special projects the user can rely on our automated control system. It allows for synchronization and correction of a larger number of jacks. This system is based on our well-proven and reliable SCC Control software.
